New Google 8inch Android2.2 tablet SmartTap

Compare SmartTab vs Apple iPad from a specifications perspective.
What the is a Google android tablet computer?
It tablet using Google Android OS, a like apple OS have Apps store, watch Youtube. Email update E-reading and game. And the best part is it support 3th party apps and Web flash 10.2. Mean it support apps from other source. Somehow it will cause system unstable.

Price
Winner: SmartTap
Apple shocked audiences at its iPad launch by announcing that the cheapest iPad would go for only USD$629, making it one of the most affordable items in the Apple catalog. While we still don’t have full pricing information for the SmartTap USD$260 for the 4GBversion. SmartTap will really arrive at a competitive price point.

Speed
Winner: SmartTab
Apple Ipad
1 GHz Apple A4 custom design 1024 x 768 display H.264 video up to 720p, 30 fpsMPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 x 480, 30fps I expect that Apple has tuned the A4 for the target applications of browsing the web and enjoying multimedia content. I must confess that much of my interest in the Apple A4 is to see how the Freescale i.MX515 stacks up. Here are the comparable

Specs from the i.MX515 processor
1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor
1280 x 1024 display (24 bit color) with support for a secondary display (18 bit color)
Multi-format video decoder (H.264, H.263, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC-1, DivX, and RV10) at up to 20 Mbps, 720p, 30fps
So far the comparison shows that the Freescale i.MX515 can easily enable iPad class products. The i.MX515 also has the headroom to support a higher resolution display and higher resolution video playback than the Apple iPad. In particular, the MPEG-4 playback for the i.MX515 has dramatically higher resolution and higher bandwidth. The iPad MPEG-4 video bitrate is only up to 2.5 Mbps while the i.MX515 can support up to 20 Mbps.
The iPad MPEG-4 resolution playback is up to 480 while the i.MX515 can support at up to full 720p. Since the YouTube preferred video formats include H.264 and MPEG-4, it is interesting that the Apple iPAD has 720p support for H.264, but not for MPEG-4. The i.MX515 supports full 720p for H.264, MPEG-4 and others.

Screen
Winner: Apple iPad
As far as LCD screens go, the iPad sports one of the best in the business. Besides efficient LED backlighting and a generous 9.7-inch span, it uses in-plane switching (IPS) technology, which gives it a viewing angle unrivalled by the cheaper twisted-nematic (TN) screens used in most other devices. The SmartTap offers a 4:3 display ratio 8inch resistance screen , which is preferable for watching movies, but it also reduces resolution (from 800x 600 on the iPad to just 1024 x 768) . same resolution, same size, and inferior technology? I think we know which we would prefer to watch last week’s Mad Men on, thank you.
Apps

Winner: Apple iPad
At present, Apple’s App Store contains over 25,000 iPad apps, and it can also leverage any of the 225,000 iPhone apps available. Even if all 70,000 smartphone apps in the Android market play nicely with SmartTap, it will remain at a severe disadvantage beside the iPad just by virtue of sheer volume. Worse, developers can be expected to develop tablet-optimized Android apps when the size and specs on each Android tablet will vary.
Storage
Winner:Apple Ipad.
Smart Tap matches the middle-of-the-line Apple iPad with 4GB of internal storage, and leaves room to match the king-sized 64GB version with a microSD slot capable of tacking on another 32GB – if you can afford the card. Which sets you up with the memory you need for cheaper? Until we know the price on the SmartTap, it’s a draw, but Apple’s propensity to overcharge for memory and the continually dropping price of SD cards suggests the SmartTap will be the victor.

Battery
Winner: Apple iPad
IRobot hasn’t released full details on battery life from the SmartTap just yet, but from what we know so far, the iPad looks like a winner here. The company claims its 3,900mAh battery will give the Tab seven hours of video playback, while Apple claims the iPad can do 10 – a claim we verified in our own testing. While that’s only one aspect of performance, we’re giving it to Apple until IRobot can defy expectations and outsurf or outread the long-lasting iPad.
Media Support
Winner: SmartTap
How can any device hope to compete with Apple’s legacy when it comes to music and video? Well, Flash, for one. The SmartTap will support it, while the iPad infamously will not. Along the same lines, IRobot claims it will handle formats such as DivX, Xvid and WMV that the iPad does not natively support.

RAM
Winner: SmartTap
As you know for Apple Ipad only 256 no able suppot muti-tasking, but the SmartTab have 512ram able support Muti-tasking.

Conclusion
On the surface, IRobot SmartTap is merely a smaller iPad but running Android. And truth be told, we doubt it will offer much temptation to current iPad users, who are probably too busy luxuriating in 25,000 iPad-optimized apps to notice. But look a little deeper, and you’ll find some important reasons not to dismiss the SmartTap altogether. It takes photos. It videoconferences. It plays content – including Flash content – that the iPad will not.
